IMTA is pleased to introduce a new feature- IMTA Insider guest posts! Model Mariah Strongin is the first of our IMTA alumni to write one so here is Mariah's post in her own words!
What are you up to right now?
I am currently working in New York city for brands such as Kate Spade Saturday, Aeropostale, Macys, Elie Tahari, Halston and more, including walking Fashion Week. I have also filmed an episode of “GOTHAM," which airs Monday Oct. 27th on FOX. Business friends were not joking when they said the competition out here is tough—and getting here is only part of it.
What have you been you been doing?
Besides the daily castings and shoots, I have been finding ways to better my talents. Since coming to New York I have become my own personal trainer and have been taking "on camera classes" with multiple coaches, and meeting as many people as I can. It's similar to how one prepares for IMTA. The more you do, the more prepared you are, and the more it will pay off.
What did coming to IMTA do for your career?
IMTA was the best experience! It really gave me a taste of what to expect every day in this industry. I still have so many friends and business partners through that competition. Thank you IMTA staff for being so supportive through the years. Keep changing lives.
Thank you Mariah for a wonderful start to the IMTA Insider series! Mariah attended IMTA 2008 with IMD and won Model and Actor of the Year! We loved reading your update and learning about your experiences. We can't wait to see your role on "GOTHAM!"
